About the Cavalier

The Cavalier is originally a British breed. They are known for their gentle, patient and affectionate nature and come in a variety of colors which include our favorite, the black & tan and the ruby and also Blenheim and tricolor.

The males average around 15 to 20 pounds and the females around 12 to 18 pounds.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel acquired its name because it was a great favorite of King Charles I of Britain in the 1600s. They were considered Royal Dogs! Only royalty or the very wealthy could afford a dog who did not earn its keep by hunting or chasing varmints. They were bred to be companions and lapdogs for the rich.

You can expect the average life span of your Mountain Breeze Puppies cavalier puppy to be about 12 to 15 years.
